OJ Anderson Scholarship Foundation

Dear Scholarship Recipient(s):

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate each of you and to personally wish you the ultimate success in your career.  Always remember to keep your head up and continue to reach for the stars.  I have a desire to help minimize the gangs, decrease poverty, enhance the morale and make a change for our young people in the area which I grew up.  Thus, this is the reason I have endorsed the “O.J. Anderson Annual Scholarship” designated for 9th –12th grade students in the Palm Beach County area (Application and information enclosed).

Just to give you an insight on who I am, following is a short biography of my life. Enjoy!  O.J.

·         I am a native of Palm Beach County, (born in West Palm Beach, Florida), and a retired NFL football running back.

·         I was a football and track star at Forest Hill High School in West Palm Beach, Florida before graduating in 1975.

·         In college, I played for the University of Miami, and graduated in 1979 as the team's all-time leading rusher with 3,331 yards.

·         I was named The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press in 1979 and the MVP of Super Bowl XXV in 1991 while playing with the New York Giants.

After retiring from the National Football League in 1993, I decided to focus my efforts and talents on building successful entrepreneurial enterprises.  My company, “Two Four LLC” introduced Mooda Chainz, an apparel line of motivational fan gear, in 2005.  I am the president of the New York Chapter NFL Alumni, Inc.; a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; and remain committed to charitable causes.
